Today I got a letter back from 2000AD regarding my artwork submission. It said:

'While your work shows potential, I'm afraid I don't feel it's suitable for 2000AD at the present time. Characters tended to be a little on the stiff side and lacked movement - work further at bringing some vibrancy to your layouts so doesn't (sic) look too flat. I did think, however, the fourth panel of page 4 - the judge in the rain - was very effective.' - Matt Smith, Editor, 2000AD.

I think these are fair comments. There is definitely something missing from my layouts! Anyway, I'd have been shocked if my first proper attempt at comic pages were successful. Nevermind, at least I broke the barrier of actually completing some pages. I think I even improved just doing them!

So...basically, everything I draw from now on needs to be more dynamic!

Still not had a response to my story submission! I will be pissed off if that's rejected too...
